Light draws us.
The first light appeared by decree at the beginning of creation and continues to illuminate the stories of God.
In the human experience, our lives move through times of light and darkness—joy and suffering.
The idea of Luminosity explores how the presence of God’s light radiates goodness and purpose, even in the darkness of our sorrows and struggles.
Luminosity wants to discover the hope in the light that overcomes.
How we’ll do this…
Weekly Blog Posts: We want to ponder how God intersects with our lives by finding his presence in the biblical stories and observing how he enters into our human experiences.
“Continuing the Conversation” Posts: We’ll invite the words of others, both past and present, into our reflections to continue the conversation.
Reflection: We’ll offer questions after each blog post for further thinking, comment, or discussion.
We know vulnerability comes with exploring personal experiences that change us.
We expose tender places when we remember and share hurts. We feel risk when we open ourselves to others. As we communicate within this space, we acknowledge with deep respect our differences and dignity. No one can completely understand someone else’s unique pain. We can only sit with one another as we feel and process. We expect this compassion from all who participate. And if you prefer to read and contemplate in privacy, we welcome you also.
